elevation, elbow extended with the palm upwards . difficulty in raising the arm forwards. test positive when : pain in the long head of the biceps. ▪ the yergason test :arm alongside the body, elbow at 90° flexion. patient tries to supinate the arm while the examiner resists at the same time as he palpates the bicipital groove. test positive when : pain in the long head of the biceps. ▪ the anterior apprehension test: patient lying down, the arm is abducted to 90° and rotated externally. test positive when : pain during this manœuvre. ▪ the o’brien test: the patient’s arm is fully
